On January 14, 2025, we were very fortunate to meet with the association “Bombers pel mon” to join forces. This is an independent non-profit association, created by firefighters from the Valencia City Council, forest firefighters, and healthcare personnel, specifically aimed at helping vulnerable populations, marginalized groups, or victims of natural disasters, famines, diseases, or armed conflicts.
Although we had been in contact since November and their response was always positive, we waited for their rescue and support activities towards the population affected by the Dana storm to slow down. As soon as they were able, they met with Ms. Edelia Villarroya, president of GERMANOR. At this meeting with Mr. Juan Carlos Teruel, vice president of Bombers pel mon, we encouraged them to actively participate in our association. We aimed to design joint projects and agreed on their participation in our training.
